Attendees will be introduced to the concepts of measurement assurance, measurement traceability, and measurement uncertainty. This course will include a review of how measurement uncertainty is quantified and typical contributions to measurement uncertainty. Measurement uncertainty for both testing and calibration laboratories will be discussed. Attendees will gain an understanding of the steps required, accepted practices, and types of uncertainties that need to be considered by accredited laboratories when evaluating measurement uncertainty.
